What is acne?

Acne is most common in adolescents and young adults.  It occurs when the sebaceous glands which secrete an oily substance called sebum, become plugged.  The plug prevents the sebum from reaching the surface of the skin through a pore.

Bacteria that normally live on the skin begins to grow in the plugged follicles which then attracts white blood cells that cause inflammation marked by four signs: swelling, redness, heat and pain.

Doctors believe it is a result of various factors including genetics and hormonal changes.

Clarifying Pads

Anti-Acne pads, formulated for surface exfoliation and fight breakouts. These convenient home care pads allow the active ingredient, Salicylic Acid [5%], to penetrate the skin, reducing impactions and clogged skin.

DIRECTIONS

Open the lid of the jar and remove a pad, closing the jar immediately to prevent evaporation.

Apply the product by gently rubbing the pad over the affected area(s). Apply every other PM or by the recommendation of your skin care professional.
